As announced on Sunday’s School Playground, our Autumn/Winter Schedule starts on 1 September and we’ve changed things around significantly …
Here are some highlights followed by more details below …
- All replays will air over night in the UK so that listeners around the world have an opportunity to hear something they may have not been able to tune into previously
- Our popular Most Wanted slot is now at 6am and 6pm weekdays with the exception of Friday pm
- We’re adding more Net Radio Group shows to the schedule
- From the Heart Collection in the week has been replaced with Simply Acoustic
- Electrifying 80s is now a regular weekday slot
- We have a specific hour set aside every week day morning for 60s and 70s
And more changes are on the way!
Lunchtime Instant Requests
2 important changes to Lunchtime Instant Requests …
1. It will now start at 1pm as we feel this is a more suitable time.
2. We’ve discontinued the show on a sunday, so it will air Monday to Saturday.
There’s a good reason for this, but I’m afraid we can’t spill the beans just yet as they’re not yet cooked.
We’ve made a few changes to live shows …
- Music By Starlight will begin at 8pm on Mondays and incorporate A to Z of Music By Starlight during the second hour. It will also be a 3 hour show.
- Living in the 80s will now air on Tuesdays at 8pm.
- The Perfect Year will air Wednesdays at 2pm.
- Mark’s Medley will air Wednesdays at 7pm.
- Kaz’s Hot Summer Nights will now be Dinner and Dessert on Wednesdays at 9pm.
- Vinyl Stash, Kitten corner and 90s jam all air an hour later on a thursday with Kitten corner now 2 hours.
- the Trainwrck will now air for 2 hours on Thursday.
- RnB ABC moves back an hour to 11pm on thursday.
New Shows And Automation
We have a new show starting on 6 September. Sunday at the claspers with Terry and Trace Clasper that normally airs on The Phoenix, will now be a Net Radio Group show and we’re so happy to have them with us.
Our automation has received an overhaul too …
We’ve had lots of great feedback about how much you enjoy our automation when there’s no live or repeated content and we really appreciate that.
However, moving the replays has meant we could give you something a little different …
Electrifying 80s now has a regular weekday slot at 11am as you seem to love 80s music so much.
7 till 11am it’s Tree and toast, playing the very best of the 90s, 00s and today with an hour of 60s/70s between 9 and 10am.
Afternoons it’ll be time for Tree and Cake which will combine the best of the 70s to now across all genres but with a bias toward the hits of the last few years.
Late evenings we’ve replaced From the heart Collection with Simply Acoustic, which speaks for itself.
Don’t worry, we’ve kept the From The Heart Collection for sunday mornings along with Sensational 70s.
Sunday afternoons you’ll get 4 hours of the new Country Collection to warm you up for Terry and Trace.
Saturday evenings, 7 till 10pm, it’s the very best in dance and party music from the 70s to now with Steppin’ Out! this will be simply the best soundtrack to a night out on the town, or even if you’re having a party at home it’s perfect!
We have so much more in store for you over the coming weeks and months, but we’re sworn to secrecy on pain of death!
