Its nearly that time of the week again where the bosses say, hey lets put Dean on the air!!
This week my Bottom 5 is from this week’s UK Top 40 from 1963, which got me thinking…I haven’t played much 1960s music in a while…
On Monday I asked the question on my Twitter timeline and on my Zello Channel if I should do a 1960s special. The answer was yes overwhelmingly.
Even tho I wasn’t born in the 1960s (As I was a 70s child) I remember going through my mum, dad’s and uncle’s record collections and playing lots of 60s tunes and I’m sure some of you did the same. So, if you’ve got a favourite 60s song that you used to play or haven’t heard for a while please let me know and I’ll play it for you.
Also we’ve covered a few serious topics over the last few weeks so I thought I’d make it light hearted this week and have a Free For All where you can talk about anything you want. As I’m remembering my childhood I’ll talk about playing those 60s records, remembering those toys I wanted and remembering what I wanted to be when I was grown up…OK some people may say I’m still not grown up yet!!!
As I said I’ll feature this week’s Bottom 5 from 1963’s UK Top 40 and as there wasn’t much going on on the telly this week I’ll look at what was going on in the music world this month back in 63.
